THE Manila Times College of Subic (TMTCS) and the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) launched a five-weekend filmmaking workshop series from June 11, 2022 to July 2, 2022 for both senior high school and college students of the TMTCS and other interested youths residing in Olongapo City and nearby areas.

The series aims to nurture budding and aspiring youths in the art and business of filmmaking and teach them the tricks of the trade and provide hands-on experience under the supervision of experienced and award-winning professionals in the field. The series was held at the Dante Arevalo Ang (DAA) Theater, Subic Bay Freeport District, SBMA.

During the first of the series (June 11 and 12, 2022), mentors Dennis Evangelista, Pamela Reyes, Joel Saracho and Lilit Reyes gave lectures on production management, creative producing, acting and scriptwriting. The participants learned about the foundations and fundamentals of these four disciplines in filmmaking. They were introduced to techniques and tools available to them.

The five-weekend filmmaking series was concluded with the establishment of the TMTCS Creative Arts & Multimedia Program (TMTCS-CAMMP) spearheaded by TMTCS President Dr. Dante Ang and FDCP Undersecretary Liza Diño.

TMTCS-CAMMP is committed to providing continuous learning opportunities and experiences in creative arts and multimedia for the youth. It will guide them to hone their skills and talents for them to become pillars of the creative industry in the future.
