Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science
Welcome to the Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science Program
Welcome to the Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science (BS MLS) of The Manila Times College of Subic (TMTCS). The BS MLS program is a four-year degree program that prepares students for professional practice in medical laboratories, diagnostic centers, and other healthcare settings where accurate laboratory results are essential to patient care.
Medical laboratory scientists play a critical role in the healthcare system. Behind every diagnosis and treatment plan are laboratory examinations that support clinical decisions. Through this program, students gain a strong foundation in science and medicine while developing the technical skills, discipline, and attention to detail required in laboratory work.
The BS MLS program combines classroom instruction with extensive laboratory experience, allowing students to apply what they learn in real and simulated laboratory environments. As students progress through the program, they are gradually exposed to more complex laboratory procedures and professional responsibilities, preparing them for clinical training and future practice.
This program is aligned with CMO No. 13, series of 2017, and aims to produce competent, ethical, and service-oriented medical laboratory professionals.
About the BS MLS
The BS Medical Laboratory Science program equips students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to perform laboratory examinations essential in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Students are trained to work accurately with laboratory instruments, specimens, and diagnostic procedures in hospital and clinical laboratory settings.
The program emphasizes:
- Strong scientific and medical foundations
- Hands-on laboratory experience
- Ethical and professional laboratory practice
