TMTCS Swimmers Shine in CNLCSCA meet

 

The Manila Times Royal Stallions Swimming Team competed at the 43rd and 46th Central – Northern Luzon – CAR Swimming Coaches’ Association  Swim Series, held at Noblesse International School, Pampanga last March 30, 2019 and Casa Kalayaan International School last May 18, 2019.

 

The team was illustrious in their individual events, with Xiamarah Aguro taking home Gold in the Novice Girls 13-14 y/o Freestyle, Breastroke, and Butterfly and Silver in the Backstroke Category. She also earned the MVP Award for the Novice 13-14 year old Girls category.


Ysabel Flore
s follows her in medal count by winning Silver in the Novice 13-14 year old Girls Breastroke and winning Bronze in the Freestyle, Backstroke and Butterfly Categories.

Antonia Moraleta and Jenny Castelli also followed suit in the Novice 9-10 year old Girls category, with Antonia winning Silver in the Freestyle and Bronze in the Breaststroke category and Jenny winning Bronze in the Freestyle category.

The team’s youngest swimmer, 4 year old Loris Castelli, was also fortunate to place, winning Bronze in the Boys 6 and under kickboard race and Silver in the  Boys 6 and under Freestyle Category.

The team was also able to bag Bronze in the Boys 10 and under Novice relay category (team composed of Carl Alcala, Ceth Alcala, Carlos Castelli, and Fu-yo Lin) and the Girls 11 and up Novice relay category (team composed of Xiamarah Aguro, Ysabel Flores, Jenny Castelli, and Antonia Moraleta).

 

The team’s campaign was spearheaded by Coach Biboy Asturias, who manages the PE Swimming Class of The Manila Times College of Subic. When asked to comment on the event he says: “All in all im very satisfied and happy on their performance since this is their first time to compete in swimming event. I would say they did a great job. I am pleased with the outcome and I am grateful for the support that TMTCS and the parents has given the team and I am also grateful for the opportunity to teach the students. I would also like to extend my gratitude to my coaching staff who has helped me with this endeavor: Coach Alma Asturias and Coach RC Asturias. I would also like to thank my peers at the CNLSCSA (Central & Northern luzon coaches association), especially Coach Rolando Dela Cruz for doing a great job on the event and helping swimmers get to the next level.”
